Our story
Founded in 1888, Castrén & Snellman is Finland’s oldest law firm. Castrén & Snellman is one of the fastest growing firms in the legal sector, and our personnel has grown from 15 employees in 1988 to over 300 employees today. This makes us Finland’s largest law firm in terms of the number of lawyers.
Our journey is filled with memorable moments and we have played a part in many of Finland’s historic events.

The legal profession is regulated by the Advocates Act (496/1958, as amended) and the By-laws and the Code of Conduct of the Finnish Bar Association, which are available at www.asianajajaliitto.fi.
